MAP sensor problem
Hey, I got a question for all you techies..
I was wondering if I have a problem with my MAP sensor or something. My idle is pretty low sometimes say around 500 rpm and the car shakes and stuff, not a lot, but its not very smooth. I was wondering if any of you guys have heard anything about a faulty MAP sensor for the 96 civic ex (si in canada) coupes. If so let me know. Or better yet, if you guys know what the problem is let me know! Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Fixhondas said he has seen MAP sensors that stick and don't work properly and that he test them by applying vacuum the sensor and checking the resistance on them.
You may want to drop him a line, he's cool guy and know's his ****.

Faulty MAP sensors arent very common in Honda's..
The fact that your idle is set below specs may be the cause for the shake..
Consider worn/bent motor mounts as well.. does it shake more in "drive" than in "reverse"?...thats a good indication of a motor mount prob..
But in any case...fixhondas is the man!..i'm still recovering today from the removal of the starter bolt in a s2000 transmission removal and my brain ain't functioning all that well.. thats inside humor for fixhondas, I know he's been there before..
