making a header look good again...?
ok, so I just had my prelude swapped to JDM H22A and the shop that did it didnt clean up the header or anything before they started the car so now the header has nasty fingerprints and stuff all over it, is there any way I can undo this and start over and get a nice even finish besides buying a new header?... and yes, I searched...
Nickel Polished chrome eh?
There was a thread on here awhile back where some guy took his SS header, used a really fine sandpaper (1500 or 2000 grit), sanded the **** out of it, then used a polish on it to get it sparkly clean. That would be my recommendation as long as it doesn't take off any chrome finish. Try it in an inconspicuous spot first.

Check the archives bc Im not positive on what a few members did. All i remember is that they sanded down their header and used some metal polish on it. Looked brand new, but eventually that polish look will fade due to heat. Sorry but exhaust manifolds are not chrome, theyre just polished
