Main Relay (Pics)
Long time reader, first time poster.. I own a 2002 Honda Accord LX 4 cylinder. The other day it stalled on me and would crank but wouldn't start when it was hot outside. (I live in Tucson, AZ where it's currently 104°F) I did some research and figured I'd check the Main Relay first. I pulled it out and took some pictures of it. It looks like it needs to be resoldered on the joint in the middle. Just wanted to get some expert opinions on whether or not the pictured relay would cause the problems I'm having.. (i.e stalling while driving and not starting back up) Thanks In Advance!
Solved!! I went ahead and soldered that point and it started up!! Unfortunately the check engine light is on now so I'll probably have it scanned by AutoZone soon. Just thought this might be helpful to anybody else in a similar situation..
Those soldering points tend to go bad over time. If you need a cheap, reliable OBD2 scanner tool, look into an Autel AL319. I have that and it works great. Will erase codes as well.
