Main Bearings(scratches)
A friend of mine gave me two sets of brand new OEM main bearings for a gsr. They have some minor scratches here and there on the inside of the bearings. Are they still okay to use? I would post some pictures for better judgements but I don't know how. sorry. Help!
inside the bearing? you mean the side that faces the block or crank?
if its the side facing the block it should be ok
pics would help a lot, go here and sign up so you can host and post

the inside face. The side facing the crank journals.
Also, I can feel the scratches with my finger tip.

Replace them with the same color. If you can feel it with your finger just replace them. The bearings are a soft metal compared to the crank, they are made to give so the crank is does not get scared.
