yes,its the driver side that is machined off, sonny's looks like they machined a minimal amount of material.

Comparing a stock B16A flywheel to ITR flywheel, the difference is machined off material on the drivers side. Where there are ridges on the B16A flywheel, the ITR flywheel is a flat surface. The difference in weight was approximately 1-1.5lbs.

On an LS flywheel, its not recomended to go lower than 15lbs. Ive heard some people go down as low as 13lbs, but it seems like thats getting awefully thin.

I would also like to know, i have a gsr flywheel lying around that i planned on getting resurfaced and lightened. One of my friends told me that lightening a stock flywheel is dangerous. Is there any truth to this?

I can get a picture of my flywheel sometime tonight probably. I just had it faced so it was even and balanced. Its really easy to see where it was machined.

I was gonna get my stock H22 flywheel lightened when I got it resurface, but the guy said it would cost way too much to lighten it and i'd be better off just buying an aftermarket one. He said it could easily cost over $300 b/c it's a long process.
