Default M2B4 Prelude Trans. Expert needed!!!

I have a 1992 Hatch with a H22 installed. I have the M2B4 JDM LSD trans. A long time ago I purchased axles from Driveshaftshop, the passenger side was to long and would bind under hard left hand turning. Ok, so. I am purchasing new axles because I have broken those. I call DSS and they tell me that they have figured out why the axles would bind. He tells me that the JDM Prelude trans is one inch thicker than the USDM trans. I guess what I need to know is...Is this statement true? Can someone with a USDM and a JDM trans laying around do some measuring for me. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!!!

P.S. - The measurement would be from where the pass axle and the intermediate shaft enter the transmission.

I heard this was true. I have the same trans and I have R-axles that bind also. DSS 2.9 is what I'm going with. There is a post about this problem in the hybrid forum. The regular h22eg axles will be to long, and cause the axle to wobble.
