Default lsvtec kit

i just bought an lsvtec kit off a guy i know and it comes with a little threaded plug with an allen key hole on one side. what is this for?

That plug goes to into the head to block off a passage in the head which oil will flow through. You should have a tap with it to tap the hole and screw in the plug.

x2, don't install plug without the tap.
