lsvtec head alignment off?

Default lsvtec head alignment off?

my machine shop is trying to tell I should have him weld some holes on the head because they wont line up perfict with my block, is this true? it is a 99 b18b1 and 00b16 head. when I asked him what holes he said "some of the holes that the oil gose from the head to the block" so he wants to weld them up and redrill them to line up perficet.

I have never built an lsv but as I understand it you need to run an oil feed from the block (pressure sender location or sandwich adapter) to the head. You need to tap the head to screw in a fitting.

I have never heard of welding up holes lol.

man I was like WTF is this guy talking abought, but I wasent shure becuse I have never knowen anyone that has built one before. oh and I also got the golden eagle Lsvtec kit to plug the one hole

the shop is GG machine shop right next to group5's old location in mira mesa. So all you san diego heads watch out

If you got the dowels and the head gasket AFAIK you are ready to go. Check out this site - it goes through the build.

ya good **** devnull I think its gonna turn out ok. the only think is on wirring it up. I have a P28 and im not gonna be running a knock sensor but im still unshure on where to pin it in on the ecu

Unsure on where to pin the knock sensor? If your not using it just don't connect it.
