Default LS/VTEC w/ B17 head questions

I'm going LS/VTEC with a 2nd Gen Integra B17 head. The head i bought didn't come with an intake manifold.
What manifolds can I use with this mod?
what ECU can I use?
What internals would u recommend?

I have an 95 LS block that is stock so:
what pistons and rods would u recommend for the better performance.

thanks!

Check that link, del had a ls/vtec in his 92 GSR. You can use any B series manifold with the exception of 94+ GSR.

i dont think you can use any b series manifold, the gsr head is different from the b16 and type r mani. the exhaust manifold is the same, but the intake is differnt. i would say just go with something simple, go get some pct type r pistons, you can use the stock rods, you can have them notched to use gsr bearings, and get a skunk intake manifold or wait for a aebs. and then do the basics. you should be happy with it

you both are wrong. you can use a b17, b16, or type R ONLY. no LS, and no 94+GSRs.

What car is this going into?
ECU can be a chiped for dual cam P28, or you can use the B17 P61 ECU or P72 or PR3.
As far as I know you can use any vtec ECU, if you get a p28 it is vtec, but for a single cam so it would have to be chiped for dual cam. and the p28 are cheaper and easier to find. As for pistons and rods you should be able to use the ones that are in the block depending on what condision they are in. you might what to have a michian shop look at them to make sure they are in good shape. Or you could go with some B16 pistons and rods, it's realy up to what you want to do. and what you want to achive with your set up. Good luck though.
Oh ya any B sieris intake manafold will work, except the Ls or B20 or Gsr P72 manafold. If you saw one you would see why it won't work.

The B17 uses the PR3 head casting which is the same head casting as used on every B16 ever made as well as the ITR engine. The best "bang for the buck" manifold is going to be the AEBS manifold being that it outflows the ITR and the Skunk2 manifolds, and costs a significant bit less than either.
