Default LS/VTEC with Spoon ECU?

Hi, my bro and I have just finished rebuilding a b18b block to put into our project crx with b16a (ls/vtec). I was just wondering if its ok to use the spoon ecu (genuine, not just spoon spec) with the ls/vtec. The crx is running off of the spoon ecu right now but would it be better for the new motor if i got one of my obd1 ECUs chipped specifically with an ls/vtec program? Any insight would be appreciated

To really get the most out of it, it's best to tune it and make your own (pwn!) program. The spoon, mugen, etc programs just dump in fuel and crank up the timing, not always what you need. Besides, if you make your own, you can do neato stuff like launch control and shift lights and things.
