LS/VTEC HG question?
Hey guys. Bad news for me. I think I've just blew the HG on my LS/VTEC. It was due thought. I was just wanna know what would be a good HG (brand?) to replace with. I think I'm gonna go ahead and get the ARP studs too. My engine is a 96 LS block with a PR3 head, so what kinda HG I should get (LS or SI)? Thanks for the replies.

Can anyone confirm on this? The reason I ask is I bought the car with LS/Vtec. I didn't build it.

Accually get the LS head gasket. Any year is fine. I got one from a guy on e-bay no problems from it. It was a ''Stone''. Get the B18C head studs. Not all v-tec head bolts are the same. B16/B17 head bolts are 11mm*155mm while C1's and C5's are 11mm*164mm and it will make a difference. I just used B18C1/C5 head bolts from honda. I've never heard of any problems with the head bolts even on higher boosted cars.
Thanks for the replies guys!! I've just put in an order for the ARP B18C head studs. I'm gonna go down to the local Acura dealer and get my LS HG tomorrow. I eventually wanna go turbo on this "bastrdize". It's never fast enough, I'm just taking it one step at a time.
