Default LS/VTEC Gurus Advice Needed!

I have a few question regarding a LS/Vteck longblock being sold locally in my town. And i was wonder if this sounded right...\/ \/ \/

b18a1 block...less than 100 miles since rebuild

bored to 83mm
stock rods
stock crank
cast pistons
decked .030
acl bearings
brand new itr water pump
brand new oil pump
brand new timing belt
brand new tensioner
brand new rings
all included

b16a2 head...less than 75xxx
intake mani
throttle body
fuel rail
fuel injectors
exhaust mani
all included

complete longblock
WILL NOT PART OUT!!!!!!!!!!

no dizzy
no tranny
no wiring harness

has one heli coiled head stud... it was torqued to 65 foot pounds, and has held up well...
vtec engages...but the vtec oil line that is included is too small...you will need a line with larger diameter(golden eagle)

I there things that i should check before i purchase mentioned motor? ex: cracks, compression test, leaks..etc?

does it sound like it could be legit or shabby? sorry for the questions which im not really familiar with ls/vtec.

Stay away. That sounds like a crappy build. 83mm is getting a bit too deep on the bore, 30 thou off the deck with mystery pistons? stripped head stud sounds sketchy. your better off buying a stock gsr longblock.

He said bored to 83mm but didn't specify weather it was sleeved or not? Also, the stripped head stud repaired with a helicoil? There are other (better) thread repairs than helicoil and for such an important bolt/stud I don't know how well a helicoil repair woul hold up. Also, he states that the oil line is too small? All in all--it seems like he fucked it up and now doesn't trust it so he wants to dump it on somebody else. I would stay far, far away.

Also--bored to 83mm using cast pistons? What honda specific castings are even available in 83mm?
