ls/vtec bottom end
i am getting either a b18 a/b, bottom end.... what are the best pistons, rods, and crank...etc to make an ls/vtec....i think i am gonna go all motor....cuz i aint got the money to go turbo/super charged..... i know for sure it will have a b16 head and tranny..... and also what computer will i need.... right now i have a jdm p30...any help would be appreciated
When it comes to rod piston and crank selection it all comes down to your budget.
You want to use b18 length crank and rods and there are many good cast and
forged pistons available. The lighter you build her the faster she will rev.
If you dont mind pump gas look for somthing close to 11:1. If it was my first
build on all motor i would just buy some ctr pistons arp rod bolts and put
the rest of the money in the top end. when you need more power later and
your wanting to spray or boost you wont be buying lower comp pistons and
a different rod crank combo than the lighter stuff. If you only have a couple
hundred in your first bottom end you can take that first build you learned off
of better. But if you have to have an all motor setup go buy what you want so
you dont have to buy it later.
