LS swap, help!!!
the car idles weird, and the idle speed is anywhere from 400-800 rpm also the car seems to have more power sometimes when driving it would kick in and feels like another 10 hp came from somewhere. i am using one oxygen sensor from a crx, stock '89 crx ecu, stock si engine harness, i tried new plugs, wires, dist cap , rotor, fuel injectors...nothing seems to work, i am gonna check the fuel pressure tomorow to see if i the fuel pump is functioning properly. also there was a sensor on the crx intake manifold it was toward the right side in the back on the underneath side and i have a wire hanging off the harness unplugged because the integra manifold does not have such sensor, what is that for?anyone think the oxygen sensor can do this? the check engine light doesnt go on but the o2 might be going bad? i tiried my friends 90 ecu with skunk2 program, still same effect midrange has a little more power but the idle is still very low, when i am driving and i take it out of gear and leave it in neutral the rpms fall off to 700-800 and then go right back up to about 1100 and ten fall down to about 400-600. it could be valve lash as well, once on my stock d16a6 motor the valve clearance was set wrong and it cause the motor to operate close to this one, so i will have to check that. i was puttign a FPR hose on my other crx today that i am puttign together and i noticed that the piping diameter on the crx FPR hose is larger then the one on the integra fuel rail, i think that that can affect the idle but not sure. just changed the fuel filter and rotor cover, car seems to have a littel more pull, idle went up just by a bit throttle became a littel more sensative, also hooked up teh purge selenoid and teh idle went up just by a bit more. please help!!!!!!!
Oh, I did not know the '90 ecu you mentioned was an LS ecu, you did not say.
It really sucks to troubleshoot problems like this... and you have already replaced most of the things that cause this stuff typically (ignition).
Best of luck.
