Default Ls b18b with type r crank?

I know b series parts are interchangable so will it work and is it worth it? the reason im asking is because i have a chance to get the crank for real cheap.

Im doing a ls vtec conversion, parts i have so for are b18b block, ctr pistons, stock b16head, and a s80 tranny. What do you guys think? Any suggestions.

The ITR crank is counterweighted better and will give you a better rod ratio. If you plan on extremely high revs, then yes it would be worth it, but if you don't, then no, it's not worth it.

You also need the gsr or itr rods. They are longer and narrower on the big ends.
