Default lowering car?

if i get springs in general that will lower a car 1.8" does that mean if i go measure the fender to the tire it will be 1.8" inches less. and also do springs break in like they say 1.8" but after a while they will be lower?
thanks

measure the bottom of your front bumper then minus 1.8 inch, i dont htink it will be exactly 1.8 inch. and the springs might get lower after usage. sometimes they will give your car a "sagging" look. hope this helps.

real good spring wont sag much even after a long time. get something like a good set of eibachs or neuspeeds. at least thats my personal preference for cost:quality ratio. if u r a real baller though find a company that deals with titanium and have them custom make your some springs. they will never sag and you would have the trickest springs of anyone that you know
