Default Lower torque mounts, necessary????

Lately I have been seeing a lot of cars without lower torque mounts installed. Whats everyones take on this? I have a ek hatch with a b series hasport mount kit. Are the torque mounts necessary if aftermarket mounts are being used?

Bit of a gamble IMO. I know they are ugly, but I would not remove them. I have HASport mounts BTW.
