I Finally got my car started..and now after starting the car...very rough idle..around 500-850 then the car trys to shut off. then after giving throttle through the throttle body. i hear alot of popping coming from the intake manifold.. and i mean alot..could it be a bent valve.. cause i did take the distributor off...to chek the coil maybe i didnt put back in right.. but if anyone know what the popping is and the low and rough idle is...would be a great deal of help...

 

Sounds like you may have installed the plug wires in wrong firing order.

 

timing, plug wires, bad gas, if its a swap that you just completed might need to run for a bit. I had a couple engines that stumbled very bad for a while
