Lost motion assembly replacement
Hey guys / girls,
I own a 1992 Integra RS with a B17A1 motor swap. Just recently started hearing this valvetrain clicking sound. It does it initially on start up (pretty loud) to, when warmer, a little less loud but still there. I assumed it was the valves requiring an adjustment. A local shop did the adjustment for me and noticed that when you "push" on the VTEC rockers, you can hear / feel excessive clearance. I understand how the system works, and understand that the LMA's need to be replaced, 200'000km on motor. My question is that while replacing these should I go for the OEM replacements, or should I go with the ITR LMA's that support higher revs. I've read that changing to ITR LMA's requires machining. Is this true? And can someone please shed a little light on this situation for me. Thanks a million.

search for prelude vtec LMA's they are less than half the cost of ITR/GSR ones and work just the same.
I'm using them and they are fine.
