if you run a cat check it out it could be clogged.

also I ran into a customers car with the same problem, after hours of checking **** out it was a dirty *** intake filter....

check those out first

If you have a worn LMA you will hear a loud tick, similiar to the sound from incorrect valve lash adjustment. That tick sound should stop upon v-tec. In some cases, but rare, you will only hear a click/clunk upon v-tec engagement/disengagement.

u can put it upside down
i ran into one that took me a very long time to figure out
it the lma was upside down
so vtec will never engage

Speak of the devil.. My car started doing this last night.. Does it kinda sound like a lifter tapping in a v8 engine??

I pulled the valve cover off and pushed the vtec rocker down with a screw driver and it "clicked" back up so im assuming thats what it is..
