Default lost brake pressure !

I have a Da with 200K and its still strong, but when I sit in traffic for a while the brake pedal just goes to the floor? Is this the booster? or maybe something with vacuum lines. I know all the hoses are a little old and cracky, but I sure dont want to repalce the whole booster if its only a bum vacuum line....

Most likely the problem is an old master cylinder. Seals will eventually wear out and start leaking pressure.

When you pump the brakes do they work for a little bit? then when you hold it goes to the floor? First thing check for leaks. fix any leaks then bleed the brake lines. If you have no leaks replace the Brake Master cylinder, its leaking internally pass the seals inside. If you dont want to replace that, you can take the master cylinder apart, lightly hone the bore and install new seals, if parts are still available.

Thats pretty much it, they work and then they go to the floor, Its been getting worse and worse, so that makes good sense, I searched it for leaks and its holding all its fluid, so I think the Master Cyl could be it, Thanks and I will go and get a new one, just to fix the prob. THanks
