Default loss of power

I just bought a 97 accord. When ever I turn the ac on there is a very notisable decrease in power. Is there a way to fix this.

don't use your A/C when you want power, juste open your window.

a/c IS a power drainer, so the only thing you can do is buy a set of underdrive pulley, but then your accesory will have less power, and you'll still lose some when your A/C is on, the only thing that would change is that you'll lose less power
