Default Losing Prime in fuel system

Ok, i have an 88 crx with d16a6 in it, mostly stock. Fuel pressure gauge and adjustable fuel regulator, plugs wires. Reason i put the reg and the gauge on there to see what i was running..40 while runiing.but anyways after the car sits for i while the psi drops to 0. and from my understanding is that it should keep some pressure in the line. Takes about three to four cranks to start it after its been sitting 8 hours or so. so u guys thinks its injectors or fuel pump or neither.?? thanks Jt

Maybe the regulator is leaking back through the return line to the tank. Try pinching off the return line after you shut it off, then see if the guage holds over time.

will do, trying some good injector cleaner now, thinking maybe injector is sticking open draining it down on my piston and maybe thats why its losing prime. But it may be the reg as u said but will do after this experiment lol thanks
