Loom trimming.
Hi guys.
I need some advice on trimming down my civic interior loom.
I've fitted a b series engine in my "kit car". I did a full loom conversion to get it to work, but now it's all fitted and running, I need to trim down the interior loom.
All I need is the ignition barrel, instrument cluster and engine loom.
Any advice on cutting out the unneeded parts would be appreciated. Hopefully this will save some weight and help tidy it up.

Loom?
I'm assuming you mean the wiring?
I built a gutted race car a few years ago using a rywire engine harness and my original chassis harness. I cut everything away except for what was connected to the engine bay fuse box , under dash fuse box, everything that goes to the rear was removed along with door harnesses, and obvious things such as ABS, SRS, lights, heat, etc. The best way to do it in your case is to have the wiring diagram.

I did not cut it away but after I thought about it I could have, all you really needed to.
you need main power to the ECU
Fuel pump relay power
cooling Fan power
For all these you could build a dedicated FUSE/relay box to control. the diagram which I'm sure is in the archives should make clear all the main components needed to make the car run.
