Looking for HP on a B20z !!!
I love the B20 beast its just like the LS with a good kick in the ***. I'm running a 2000 B20z in a 95 civic coupe LS tranny. I love the torque but the top end HP isnt there it gets to a point where it feels like the LS again. I wonder is it because Im using the LS ecu and intake manifold. I have a 94 LS intake manifold and not the B20 because I was not sure if it would fit under my hood with that big startrak looking box bulging off the top of the manifold. I read that that thing gives you more mid rang tourque but still dosn't fix my HP craving. Now ther is no way to convince me into doing another Vtec frankinstine I wont go that rout. I dont want to peal off the head of my 2000 (27K) motor. But for the money the best bang for the buck I was thinking juice. If so what kind. I also have a cold air intake with HKS megaflow filter thermal catback dc 4-2-1 header and catco cat gsr fule rail and injectors no CEL. Runs great just mant a little more dont want to drag (everyday driver) want to keep it reliable maby 50 shot someting small.
I have the same set up as you have. I just turboed it....that helped a little.
Anyways, to answer your question, a 50 shot should be ok. My brother did 100 on his B20B w/o any problems.
