Looking to build bottom end
Hi I'm new to the page and I have a few questions any response would be greatly appreciated.
My set up- 97spec jdm b18c type r
Head
Stock port
Stock valves
Arp head studs
Skunk2 pro2 cams
Buddy club cam gears
Skunk 2 valve springs and retaners
Victor X mani
70mm skunk2 TB
370 RC injectors
AEM Fule rail
AEM FPR & gage
RMF nerrow header with E cutout
Block- B18cr. as of right now is completely tor down and here's were I'm looking for the chime in. I'm looking to do Pistons and rods I'm looking at goin with a 12.5:1 piston and a nice rod. The current set up with the stock block made 214whp at 9k RPM's I'm looking to get in the 230whp range and possibly run E85 ethanol. So I gess my question is is it possible to achieve these numbers with out a full port job also I'm going to keep the stock valves also do I need to go with a new rod or are the stock itr rods ok to keep. O Ya I will eventually get to the porting and valve job
