Default long or short runner for ITBs?

Does it make a difference whether the ITBs have longer or shorter runners? I'm modifying my own set. From what it looks like I think I'll have to increase the length just a bit (1/2") for the T/B cable linkage to pass the fuel rail. So just wanted to ask to see if it'll make a difference, but either way.. I'll have to do it anyways... Unless I decide to redesign the fuel rail system.. Damn.. that'll suck.. back to the drawing board..

On another note... I read on TWM that placing the injectors further up from the port creates more power... Is that true? Why is that? Is it cause the fuel will be atomized better? Thanks.

are you talking about the stacks?

usually shorter stacks help top end power out, while longer stacks help increase torque..
