No, it will help. Also, what track is this, a drag strip?

I wouldn't expect much of a change, but it won't hurt either.

I'm not a fan of lightened flywheels in all motors at the drags. I think I'll stick with a stock one as I think it helps the car get out of the hole....

I've never cared for the "you need stored inertia from a heavier flywheel to take off theory", but I won't start another debate on the subject either. I believe there are a few instances when light flywheels don't make sense, like if you have almost no power(under 100 ponies), or if you have massive power, like the nitro burning funny car dragsters, for almost every other application, a lighter rotating assembly is simply more efficient.

Alum is fine. I use a Fidanza. The strength of the chromoly simply is not necessary for a flywheel, and god save the queen if that thing shatters at high RPMs.

10lbs UR Ultra L flywheel on my 95 EX Accord, works great, very good improvement over stock. Your 8.8lbs should only be better.

That's what new flywheel I'm running right now. I'm still breaking in the clutch but the FW is great. Every gear is more reponsive. The Integra should have come from the factory with this flywheel weight. I don't have any regrets (well, maybe one - should have gone lighter )

Maybe the xACT 8.8 pound flywheel. I don't know if I could have afforded the Fidanza fw. Do you like the FW that light? I was too scared to go too light. Well, now that I have driven it, I wish I wouldn't have been scared. Plus, my dad helped me with the install and he was pissed that I went down to 12.5. He tought that was too light.

It was $290 shipped, not exactly a fortune. The lighter the better. I forget exactly what it was but it seems like it was lighter than it was supposed to be when I got it. Cheap scale perhaps it was at fault. 7.6lbs or something of the sort.

290 shipped isn't bad at all. I think my FW was 240 shipped free.

Organic clutch discs don't have long break-ins. Kevlar does. If it doesn't work right yet, there may well be something amiss.

Yep. I believe it's the JDM final drive people scavenge. I've not done this myself, though I'm considering a Type R LSD whilst my tranny is out.

exedy recommends 500 street miles for the organic discs, so figure out how much of that 776 is street. you're probably ok as long as it wasnt mostly all highway.

You can usually pick one up for $250ish, if you're patient and look around. Allot cheaper option than Quaiffe or Kaaz, though not as effective.

Had my stock one machined down to 12.5 lbs... can't afford one of those expensive aftermarket ones. My brother has the same thing and it revs a little faster, more fun to drive
