Lightened Flywheel questions
That shouldn't stop you from getting a lightened flywheel that is properly balanced etc. Now you guys have a better idea of how one part of the motor affects the other parts.
Well i guess i will still get one but i am going to research it alot and find the best one. Rocket are you selling flywheels? If yes do you have them for d-series?
I have an excellent source for lightening D-Series flywheels. They come in at around 9lbs. But I am hesistant to sell any due to all the things I have heard about lightened stock units although my machinist who does the lightening says he never had a failure.
I am looking into some aluminum units. I've got to do some testing on them though.

They are about the same. Watch out for the new 99 SI flywheels because they are only 6 bolts instead of 9 bolts. I prefer the 9 bolt configuration for race/performance.
alright it's really early so bear with me, and i am probly bumping this thread from the depths of misuse, but a lightned flywheel will put stress on the internals of your engine, stock shaved is bad, something like he clutchmasters lightned flywheel is more the way to aim due to more R&D in the department of can the engine take it well?
although lightened flywheels will increase HP, they can lead to poor idle if they are too light since the flywheel stores the rotational energy of the engine and this helps to smooth out the idle.
