I would set it at 50 psi and leave it. Thats with the vaccum disconnected.

what you mean by that. I thought you always needed the vaccum conected?

When you adjust your fuel pressure, you are supposed to do it with the vaccum disconnected. 48~50psi should be good. Again though, on a dyno with a wide band O2 is the best way.
