not sure what forum this belongs too but, i am putting in my new motor and one day i was lazy and had a spare gauge cluster sittin in my room so i rolled the miles back to all 0's anyways would it be legal to sell it or put it in the car. not that i give a **** cause i would put it in anyways. just thought i would get some opinions cause i am bored right now too

 

There is some kind of form you have to fill out with the Department of Motor Vehicles to disclose the mileage it had before.

 

It's only illegal if you try and pass that off as actual miles. Legally you have to report the car as "actual milage unknown" and you're fine. I don't know about the official way of regging it w/ the DMV, I'm sure if you call them up they can answer for you.
