Default Leather Seat Repair

Does anyone have any suggested products to fix a tear in a leather seat? I got a quote from one upholstery shop here in town this week and the cost of the vinyl substitute (looks and feels similar to leather) is $325 + tax and a leather seat would be $425+ tax. It is a 2006 MDX so I don't think it is worth spending that kind of money to re- do the seats.Thanks.

I think that repair will cost upwards of $600. My cousin had a similar problem and he got it fixed for 600

Your best friend is your local boneyard, [PicknPull] a leather power seat, [complete] is $50 at PicknPull.

That's in Canadian $$$ here in Kelowna, should be about the same in the states. 94

I'm so jealous of you. That's the only BC Pick-n-Pull they didn't shut down.

Surrey was just starting to get really busy and probably showing signs of getting into the black and the portland steel company shut it down anyway. Last in, First out.

Lots of competition down on the coast, so much here although there are other boneyards here, four I can think of, with one being just a PU truck yard, [right across the street from PicknPull] at PicknPull the pricing and selection is much better.

I have gotten a lot of parts from there for myself and other HT members. 94
