outer cv boot recently cracked, didnt even notice till tire change. there is no noise coming from the axle at this time, is it safe to drive it for another week before boot is replaced? or should it be taken care of immediately?

 

you can drive it still. it will just have all that gunk back there.

 

why not pull the drive shaft out and replace it? you can get them cheap.......

 

Yeah its safe to drive, just dont get all Racer happy

Go easy on the poor broken parts.

 

go to autozone (or local equivilant) and get a cover just to be sure
they sell outer cvboot covers (like a jacket that just covers the broken boot).
just use that if you have to drive more than a few hundred miles before you can replace the axle
