i don't have that engine... and i don't drag race... but since nobody is answering your question, i will suggest that you try ES motor mounts or z10 radius arms.

After you stage hold her on the mat untill you see the last amber go on, (dont worry about rev limiter, the valves will float and keep it below 10,000) then sidestep the clutch, forget about the tach, just let her go untill she goes flat then shift. Oh yea, never let the accelerator off the floor from when you stage untill you get through the traps. (if you float valves when you shift you do it too slow!).

Drive it like you hate it, if you are afraid of breaking it, you shouldn't be racing it!

good luck

2800 with the tires at 28psi seems to work best for me.

A general rule of thumb in a FWD car is to launch about one thousand RPMs below your torque peak.

I always use to launch at 3k but since I have a 6 puck non sprung disk I always sat there spinning my tires. I recently switched to 2500 and 30psi an dthat seems to be working the best. Moving from a sprung hub to solid disk takes some getting use to

28 psi? I hope you are not talking about tire pressures. I usually have my pressure at 13 - 18 psi when I'm at the track. You need it that low in order to get a big enought foot print, otherwise you will be going nowhere at the line, or getting there slowly. If you have crappy tires you shouldnt be at the track. Rev to around 4000-4400 (you need to find the right rpm for your car) when the stage lights up, then feather the clutch the instant before the green lights up. Slowly feed the throttle until vtec kicks in. When vtec hits, drop it to the floor. The shift from 1st to 2nd is critical. Try to make the shift as fast as possible with as little chirp as possible. This requires some fancy clutch work. 2nd to 3rd shouldnt be too tough, either speed shift or just brush the clutch.
