Default Kyb Agx Settings - Same or Different?

How do the front and rear setting on the AGX's compare? Does a 4 in the front equal a 4 in the back, or does a 4 in the front equal the 8 in the back, and the more rear settings allow for greater accuracy? I have a feeling it's the first, letting the back go stiffer. but I just wanted to hear somebody with a better tech explanation.

the effects of the setting will depend on other factors, not just the shock settings...
depending on which way you want to tune your car, oversteer/understeer/neutral...???
