Default Knowing when to up your fuel?

I have a 89 SI hatch w/ D16A6 in it. I'm adding a D16Y8 intake manifold and a B-series throttle body and a cold air intake.
In the place of the stock intake manifold ,Throttle body and intake.
From what i gather i'm increasing throttle body size by 5mm and not sure how much with the intake manifold or if it's just a better flow.
I was wondering since i'm increasing the incoming air volume, do i need to or can increase the fuel delivery also?
What will make this a benificial upgrade and or is there any other tuning required?

anytime the engine gets more air the engine needs more fuel.
when you start modifying heavily (intake system, cams, etc) you need to up the fuel

heres my reccomendation
get an adjustable FPR, an a/f meter (the gauge) and go get it tuned.

you are not necessarily filling the cylinders any more with those parts. They're not bad parts, but a cam would compliment them well. The above advice is good.

I've decided to go ahead and buy an Air/Fuel meter and an adjustable fuel regulator.
Even if the Air/Fuel meter tells me there is no need for fuel increase, I'll set it to stock flow.
I can still use it at the begining of the year when i swap in my D16Z6 w/ T25 turbo
Then I will deffinately need a fuel increase.
Whats a EGT gauge?( Guessing exhaust gas tempature gauge?)
Thanks for the help

Yep. You can use these to see how lean/rich you are running. I think you can tell more from these than shitty air/fuel meters (Autometer).

one thing to remember is the pyrometer for most egt gauges dictates what happened seconds ago, in an environment where destruction can occure in less than a few seconds.. with fi, tuning, especially on the ragged edge of detonation for max hp, has to be made realtime. this is where a dyno with a motec a/f meter or a egt unit like the one offered by percy's (computech?) is superior. that piece has realtime instantaneous readings with individual pyros in each primary or secondary.

Thank you evry one for the information you'll have shared.

I'm looking at either Apexi AFC-S,the Apexi AFC-V or the Motec A/F meter.
Does Apexi have a meter that is a combo of the two (AFC-V + AFC-S)=AFC-V/S ?
When the Swap is done, i would like to have a way to adjust Vtec ingagement also.
So would my best choice be the Apexi AFC-V ?
Also ther are several different brands of adjustable Fuel regulators, does any body recommend a specific one?
Or are they all about the same?
So far i was looking at the B&M Command-Flo FPR w/ pressure gauge.
Thanks again for all the help
