Default Knocking sound from Rear Right of car??

Ok, here's the run down. I just got all four struts on my car replaced last Thursday. After they were replaced a REALLY bad squeeking sound from the back of the car was eliminated.

Here's the problem now.

It's been about 3 days and I can now start to hear the squeeking comeing back slightly in the rear right of the car, on top of that I hear a knocking sound from the same area. The knocking occurs when I make right turns and weight is being shifted around on the rear right wheel. For example, turning right up a sidewalk into my driveway.

I don't really care about the squeeking, but the knocking worries me a bit. Tommorrow I will pull the wheel off and grease anything that looks like it can be. Oh yeah, when he did the struts my mechanic also replaced the Bushings and bolts in the rear.

Thanks in advance!

hey,

from the top of my head, it tells me that it could be youre wheel bearings, but i no that may not be the problem and i cant really think of any other possibilitys. the squeekings could be from old worn out bushings. thats all i can tell you for now. hope i was a help.

As far as the knocking sound, I would suggest getting back there with a torque wrench, loosening everything, and retorqueing to the correct values. I have heard that incorrectly tightened fasteners are the leading cause of odd suspension sounds.

Thanks Guys! I figured out the problem yesterday morning. The squeeking was... well my fault. When I bought the car, whoever had it before me put a blue aluminum cap on the valve stem in the right rear. Over time... too much time the cap attached itself to the stem. I got the car last September and haven't been able to get it off till now..... hehehe ooops. Anyway, turns out the tire was at 15PSI and was rubbing on one of the arms in the well. Strangely, it didn't look that low...

The knocking is coming from the metal bracket that holds my exhaust on, it is hitting part of the frame when I go over bumps.

So that's that, thanks again guys.
