Knock sensor B or D does it matter?

Knock sensor B or D does it matter?
Like the title says does it matter? Reason being i found my knock sensor had been broken in half while removing my motor. A freind has offered me a D series KS but will it work right with my GSR motor?

Yes they are interchangable but I'm guessing he has a later model Civic which means the KS has a square connector as apose to the round one found on most B series motors (and your harness).

OBD2 Knock sensor from other series will work on d-series of the same OBD generation
OBD1 Knock sensors from other series will work for D-series of the same OBD generation
OBD1 Knock sensors from other series will work for D-series of the same OBD generation
