Knock after valve lash adjustment
Today I finally got around to doing a valve lash adjustment on my d16z6, and I did everything correctly using the feeler gauges to get the correct gaps. There was one problem though in that the locknut for the furthest right intake valve on cylinder one wouldn't tighten and was just spinning. However, I gapped it correctly and just finished the job. Afterwards I started it up and it ran very well so I took it for a drive. When I got back I heard a knock as I slowed into park. Its a knock that increases with rpm speed and was definitely not there before.
Took off the valve cover and looked at the rocker arms, and where the bolt and nut control the gap on the upper right intake valve on cylinder one there is a lot of play. Took it further apart and the bolt/screw is stripped badly. I would imagine that is what is making the knocking noise. How would i replace just that nut and bolt that maintain the gap on the rocker assembly?
