95 civic with b18 auto this just started happening over the winter when I turn my car off i cant get the key out until the battery has been disconnected.
it was intermittent but now is all the time i dont think its the tumbler but not sure any advice to look at ?

 

have you tried playing with the shifter some while trying to get the key out? The key is not able to come out of the ignition on an auto unless it is in park. If the sensor that sees the shifter is in park is malfunctioning it will not release the key. Try moving the shifter forward and back while trying to remove the key.
