k24 short ram on k20, help!!!
My dad has a 2003 Honda CRV that I put a K&N Typhoon short ram on 2 years ago. I just bought a 2005 RSX Type S, completely bone-stock. Now, he asked me to find out if my stock airbox will fit on his car and he would swap out the short ram for it, so i don't have to pay for one. Will it fit on my car? Also, will my stock airbox fit on his car?
i don't just mean physically work. I mean, work with the ECU so I don't throw a code. I want to make sure that also the type s airbox works with the CRV. I don't know if there is any sensor difference between the cars as well.
you can also physically look to see if the sensors will fit. im not sure if they use a MAF sensor or an IAT sensor on the piping....the overall piping shouldnt be an issue as long as there is a spot for the sensors in the intake.
i see that i would have to extend the MAP sensor wires to get it to work. I found on Hondata's website a way to make the stock airbox more efficient. I'm going to stick with that, so i don't void my factory warranty by having an intake.
