k20a2>b18c5

k20 has bigger valves, better flowing head, more displacement, i-vtec, stronger bottom end, the list goes on......

What's wrong with the left nut. And what about the right one.

True.

But what of axle issues and oil pan clearance? Any thing to be concerned with?

No axle issues if you use the OEM axle setup, depending on what chassis you're swapping a K into. OEM axle setup consist of RSX/EP axles with 94-01 (DC2) integra outter joints - passenger side needs the use of a 93+ prelude shaft, EP/DC5 inner joint and DC2 outter joint (DC5/EP inner joint bearings used on both sides).

Oil pan clearance can be an issue depending on how low your car is, if you're not fender tucking your tires, you'll be fine.
