k20 type r
I have a 2000 honda civic si, but i want more power. So im thinking of going type r. I thought about b18 type r, and k20. the only ones i could find are JDM type r. Anyone know if these type R motors will pass emissions? because i dont want to pay this bid *** renewal fee every year for not passing. and do you think the k20 motor will fit in the civic with the gearbox transmission etc? Is the b18 type r ok for normal driving?
JDM type r (b18c5) u have to swap manifolds to pass emissions and i wanna say sumthin else..........as for the rest of ur question....i dont know well enough to say
well what i really wanted was the k20 type r motor but I heard that the shifter box doesnt fit that well. Like i'd have to remove my center counsel to place the shifter box in because its a big shifter box, so ive heard. If thats the case then i might just go b18c type r, just getting my imformation straight before i order
karcepts makes a kit that allows you to use the shifter box without modifying the console. but you'll have to do some cutting other places.
a k20 swap will not be legal unless you swap a **** ton of stuff over from an rsx like the gas tank, all emissions equipment.
