i wanna know how hard it would be to put a k20 into a 97 ex?? i kinda know about the mounts.. would i need to cut the transmission mount out and weld the block mount of the k series on or could i bolt it on?? and what about electrical?? is the engine harness plug and play to the cabin harness or no?? if anybody has done this swap give me some insight.. it would be appreciated

No u don't need to cut any mounts off for ek

There's 2 mount types though ekk1 or ekk2
-ekk1 uses ek subframe
-ekk2 uses eg/dc subframe

you need:
-k20a2 type-s swap complete 02-04 (ecu needs k-pro)
-ep3 or base rsx axles 32mm ( type-s are 36mm)
-mounts
-karcepts or other shifter bracket
-conversion harness
-ep3 pulley if u wanna keep a/c
-ktuned or other ac/ps delete if not
-half size aluminum rad w/ slim fan
-swap header
-3" intake
-3" exhaust

A lot of money and patience but,its all worth it in the end

 

Damn it's a lot harder then I thought but I guess if I get all the parts first it shouldn't take tha long.. I just wanna be different I'm tired of the b series swaps u know I mean I already have the full b20v swap I think I might jus go with that it I dnt go k
