Default k20 block difference between rsx s and si civic

here's the question. will the head of a rsx type s and all other parts bolt onto a k20 block out of a civic si.
i know that the type s runs higher compression but don't know if everything else is the same.
i did do some searching and didn't find the answer i need.

if anyone is wondering a friend of mine went turbo on his rsx know he has a rod hanging out of his block and we can't come across a good deal on a rsx type s short block or long block but have found a good deal on a k20 out of a si. please let me know any info you might have.

thanks for the help.

I know that there are a few differences, I can't remember exactly what they are as it has been well over a year since I checked. But I did specifically check, and there are a few differences. I suppose your idea would work, but there would be some fabrication involved. I'd just try to find the K20A2 block, or better yet, find a complete JDM K20A Type R motor.

The RSX has a cast aluminum oil pan versus the SI's stamped steel pan. The RSX has an oil cooler next to the oil filter and the SI does not. The RSX has hydraulic power steering, and the SI uses electric power steering. And the axles are different in that the RSX has a larger bearing to support the intermediate shaft and uses larger splines at the hubs.

K20A3 has balance shafts, this causes the windage tray to be different, and might change the internal shape of the oil pan.
