Default Just a Question on Detonation

So things to help prevent detonation are: colder plugs, higher octane, retarding timing and lowering compression, right? Anything else?

dont forget a very important one.. Maintaining a proper fuel mixure. Lean burn leads to pinging.

Forged pistons, adequate quench, oil spray, bigger cams if N/A (lowers dynamic compression).. I'm sure there are some I'm forgetting.
