Just put together and wont start
hey everyone,
just put together my lsv with p30's. new rings, rod bearings etc. car has fuel, spark and compression but the MF will not fire! not sure if there is something common I for got to plug in or I just have the shitty-est luck ever, its in my 91 si rex. any clues or go to's would be awesome!
thanks

check your timing again like he ^ said.
check all your grounds, make sure all connected.
check battery.
check to hear if your fuel pump primes.
check ignition coil.
check main/fuel relay, if fuel pump wont prime main/fuel relay could be bad.
make sure u have the plugs plugged right.

Will post pics of the mechanical timing later. All 3 major grounds are bottomed out. Using an over sized battery as of right now. Pump loads and cylinders a getting fuel. Plugs are from top of dizzy 3 4 1 2 from top l top r bottom l to bottom r, and away from the front cover 1234.
are you sure your getting spark?
give it a test hold the boot with some pliers and have a friend crank the motor and touch metal with the end of the sparkplug somewhere on the body, u should see blue spark
or test with digital multimeter

are you getting fuel?
can you hear the fuel pump priming when you switch the key in II position, turn everything off and listen carefully, it will make a some sort of humming noise when it turns on you will hear it.
try that

if its a fresh built motor, it will take more then few cranks to start. Most importantly open the throttle all the way and crank it a few times, you will start to hear it starting slowly..
yea firing order is right, cranked it till i killed the battery......twice haha. opend the tb for both oxygen and starting fluid. feel like its somthing electrical, brand new td44 dizzy so idk where to go, gona check the ckp sensor and maybe MAF.
Yea that's what I'm hearing, just running like a dog. Dose t rev past 2800rpm. Seems like a wiring or ecu issue so the limp mode mikes since, just don't know how to get it out
you probably have some of the engine harness plugs swapped in the wrong connectors, make sure wiring is correct.
make sure the tps is not swapped with map, and the IAT sensor isn't swapped with another sensor etc..
I had almost the same issue once and it was the sensor wires swapped. It is very easy to confuse the MAP with TPS - I would check that first or swap it.
