Just failed emissions for NO...what could it be?
ok vehical specs: D16z6 with I/H/ 2 1/4 piping with stock muffler (back on to pass) i also have a b18 TB. I just changed the 02 sensor, pcv, iacv, adjusted the tps (i dunno if that would effect it) and changed the entire fuel system (rail, injectors, etc.)
My numbers:
Standard: 1372
My 1st run: 1424
2nd run: 2124
What could it be im sooooo confused?! any help would be great!! thanks in advanced.

Hm, im not sure, but isnt there somthing you could pay, like 400 dollars and they let you off for a year. When my bro had his old car, in CT he would pay 400 dollars and emissions would pass it. I dont know what the problem is.
NOX oxides of nitrgoen is created by combustion temptures in excess of 2500 degress farenheit and pressure. Usually created by a lean condition. The vehicle systems designed tog et rid of NOX are the CAT EGR and secondary air injection. hondas have never came with secondary air injection so check the cat the easiest way to check is to get the car nice and warm and the check the temperature the outlet temp should be roughly 200 degrees hotter then the inlet use a digital temp gun to check. i dont belive civics have egr.
The above is correct. How many miles are on your cat? Have you checked your timing? I've seen some VERY rough running Hondas pass emissions

timeing is set. not sure how manymiles on the cat. Also my car has been running lean. what i did was adjusted the tps and am gonna run a colder plug. i will try to check the cat this weekend. i also upgraded to a bigger tb could that make it run more lean?
Check your cat. Make sure your car is nice and warm before you take it to emissions. Cats only work to their full potential when they are thoroughly heated. Were your HC's also a little on the high side?
haha ur fucked.
thats hell high nox it won't help if u get a new cat soo don't bet on it.
try running a little rich that might do the trick.
good luck

What year is the car. Usually obdII is pretty good at monitoring your car, providing you have your downstream o2 sensor still.
OBDI I would just replace the cat. It will pass.

SEcondary Air Injection sounds like it would be on the exhaust side of things. the 99-00 civic EX have air injectoion ports on the intake side, don't know if that' relevant, just adding for completeness.
And as far as EGR, you mean recyling exhaust gas to promote cylinder swirling... Yeah they have that . Evavorative Purge Control Solenoid it's called.
So we are reccomending he check his ignition timing?

my ign timing is set. this is a 95 civic dx with an ex swap. where is the egr system on my eng? Also Everything else (hc's etc.) were low.. so my car is obviously running way to lean. im gonna try colder plugs. i was reading a book on emisions my a/f ration should be 14.7/1 ratio, mines obviously way over that. what are some ways i can richen it a bit?
actually exhaust gas recycling is not used to promote cylinder "swirling" its used to reduce nox on engine by recycling the exhuast gas back into the combustion chamber and secondary air injection is only used to hgelp heat up the cat when it is cold.
An evap purge control solenoid works as so, your fuel system is supposed to be a sealed system so it doesnt vent any unburned hc's to the atmosphere is the theory. There is a lil round black coffe can called the charocal canister evap cansiter etc. it stores all those excess vapors from fuel system pressure rising then purge solenoid the purges those back into the itnake tract at a convineint time like cruise
