JDM Type R Header, how to install?????
I currently have a DC 4-2-1 header on my integra GSR. I'm in the market for either a 4-1 DC JDM header or the OEM Type R header. I was told the DC one was better because it was ceramic coated. Which one should I get. Plus, how are you guys doing the installion? Because, I saw a high flow cat on ebay made for the type r header. Would it be easier to get that or just use the 2.5 flange? Thanks
I bought a JDM ITR header and had it installed on my civic. You can get a high flow cat (what you probably saw) with 2.5 in and out. Or you can use your existing piping by getting a custom high flow cat your use your existing high flow cat. Either way you would have to go to a mufler show and get the flange (you need this to install the JDM ITR.) If you are looking for prices on that type of header ... shoot me an email. I can get you some good prices
what size piping and what kind of exhaust do you have? also what kind of motor and mods do you have? lastly if you are running a stock cat, i would just buy the high flow cat with 2.5" inlet and outlet. i would really consider the high flow cat if you have a strong motor (gsr, lsvtec, or type r) b16's would also like the cat too...
