JDM Transmission code.......

Can anyone tell me how do you tell what year a transmission was produced from the numbers stamped on it?

The # are: S803020040

It could be anything 94+

If you know someone at the dealer, I KNOW there is a book in the parts department that identifies engine and transmission codes by serial number series. I've thumbed through one left on the counter....

-TJ, that book is NOT EVEN CLOSE to being accurate.
